The first of December A very significant date for me. I'm all agog knowing the time's coming to share blessings and the time to give love. I daresay, the rightest time to give, sure we can share and give everyday but there's the urging to give more. There's love in the air and it's contagious. The uncomplicated and innocent mind of a believing that Santa's bringing presents by being good and behaving, thus, hanging the socks - the bigger, the better. The time to receive too, like a domino effect, the revert of something you give. Complete the 9mornings mass and realize what you wished for at christmas. Some came true, some forgotten. Been unlucky for 2 consecutive years, still looking forward. My firm belief in "ask and ye shall receive.." I just wish it could happen in God's time synchronizing my own time.  My prayer goes like this: Dear God, please grant me what I'm wishing for. I've been good, doing the best I can, fulfilling my christian duty and never violated any of the 10 commandments (well, ahhh...8 actually)  You won't hold it against me, no'? and please, hurry!! Amen...

There will always be that "child in us" as long as we believe in Christmas. It's the joy of giving and receiving, the sharing. I will always treasure that in my memories. It's been more than 20 years now that I've not spent my Christmas in the Philippines. Over here in the USA, it's all about gifts and parties, not much like over there in Pinas, where we can see the true joys of people who are deprived, and yet, full of hopes and smiles on their faces. The happiness from a poor child's face if we give him/her even a used toy is priceless! How much more if we give those less fortunate children nice clothes, and hearty meals? It gives me so much satisfaction and unexplained happiness knowing and seeing that I've made someone's day brighter and extra-ordinarily joyful. To me, since Christmas symbolizes the birth of Christ, it belongs more to children. It just happens that we always have that child's trait in us...MERRY CHRISTMAS Thet!  Just call me ELZ

First of all, let me say, you look stunning in this picture of yours, Racquel  ...Amd I agree with you, there's no guarantee that God will grant us our wishes, whether we do good or bad. Sometimes, I even think, "WHY IS IT THAT THOSE WHO ARE BAD HAVE MORE?"...But that is part of God's mystery. And we are not here to question HIM...Happy Holidays to you as well... Just call me ELZ

That's why we keep remembering the times when we were still young, worry free, less responsiblity, carefree ways.. It was so nice being the center of attention at christmas. All the beautiful toys, the best clothes and the delicious foods on the table.. But alas, we can only be young once.  Now its our time to give and quite fulfilling as well..So true, there's no christmas anywhere else that can compare close to what we have here in the PI. It's just different. One christmas, while I was in LA, the absence of festivities and lukewarm celebration made my xhub and I drove to Vegas in the middle of the night to fill in the longing and loneliness... I won $500 in Pai Gow, my xhub 2grand.. The kids here (in P had a very prosperous new year he he he...Same to you sis, all the merriest of the season..

Sis, And my hug back to you and a lot of smiles. The simple way of celebrating christmas is how it's gonna be for me, always will be.. Right, doing good will never be a guarantee for any reward, still, I'll choose it over bad things anytime. Sis, Had my share of heartaches so I knew my way around..Nothing more pleases me to help even a bit, anytime my friend.. We all need to love and be loved in return, however, we cant guarantee we won't be hurt or troubled along the way. We can only be strong..and will get by with a little help from friends
